Sew these along the shady side of the patio. They germinated are are thriving great
I have portions of my yard that get very little sun. In summer those areas might get 4 hours of indirect sunlight. And it rains a lot so I needed flowers that were very forgiving! Also, I like that these attract both hummingbirds and butterflies!
This is a week of germination in miracle grow potting soil. We wanted to try out a few different partial sun wild flower brands before seeding almost a half acre. This pot is indoors because we’re still getting some freezing temps here but so far, really good.
The packaging on these seeds is very nice, and they had a very good germination rate — definitely from this year’s batch.
I scattered these seeds along a strip of garden that’s in the shade in front of our house. (I scattered the seeds pretty thick, because I haven’t had great luck with wildflower mixes before.) Less than two weeks later, it was covered in sprouts, and now I think I’m starting to see the earliest little blooms!
