These were all sprouted, not too wet or dry. Tubers were plump. Largest about the size of my pinky, which is a nice size for this plant. 14 in all which will fill a 10 or 12 inch pot very nicely. They will need thinning in a yr or so. I recommend planting immediately as the little sprouts are very delicate and will dry up quickly.
Update May 30, leaves have been up for a couple weeks, two blooms. This is a 10” pot with all tubers planted in it. The tubers start with one leaf stem but will eventually have multiples and overflow this pot. Tip: don’t bury the tubers and/or sprouts too deep. The roots are dry, brown and hair like. The leaf sprouts are white and delicate and should be partly above the soil. They prefer a moist, semi shady area, like a fern. Hope that helps.
Just beautiful. They produce beautiful little flowers. They look great on my patio. Very healthy.
This picture is only one of the 12 bulbs. I purchased these Purple Shamrock Bulbs for sentimental reasons, and didn't really expect them to grow this great. I thought each bulb would have just a couple shamrocks, and I didn't think every bulb would grow. I was very pleasantly surprised by the results. I spread the 12 bulbs throughout my backyard, in containers and in the ground and every single bulb produced a whole healthy clump of shamrocks. I think this might now be my go-to gift when I need just a little something for someone who has everything. Highly recommend. Will definitely purchase again.
I know nothing about gardening and I can make life and sustain it. Soooo nice product and they work!
